About me

Why this work matters to me

I come from a socially disadvantaged background as the daughter of immigrant parents, and much of my early professional life was shaped by learning how to navigate uncertainty, complexity, and change without a clear roadmap. Those experiences shaped how I think about progression, and the invisible pressures many professionals carry.

Moving through education and into the workplace meant developing resilience, adaptability, and, importantly, systems that could flex as circumstances shifted. Over time, I learned that progress doesn’t come from pushing harder indefinitely, but from building ways of working that evolve alongside your life.

That perspective sits at the heart of my work today. I support people who are ambitious, capable, and deeply committed to what they do, and who want to grow without losing their health, relationships, or sense of self along the way.

A sustainable approach to growth

Many of the people I work with are navigating pivotal moments: stepping into greater responsibility, considering a change in direction, or reassessing how work fits alongside personal priorities.

My approach focuses on helping people build sustainable careers, ones that allow for progression and ambition while also creating space for life outside work. This means practical guidance, reflective support, and planning that accounts for real-world complexity, not idealised career paths.

I believe professional success and personal ambitions should be able to grow together, not compete for space.

Supporting women in STEM is an important part of my work, particularly during leadership transitions and life stages such as perimenopause and menopause, when career sustainability becomes even more important.

Grounded support, not pressure

My work is mentorship-led and informed by a strong foundation in mental health awareness and leadership development. I understand how effective leadership adapts to individual working styles and lived contexts, particularly within environments that may not always feel designed for everyone.

I hold a Level 3 Mental Health First Aid qualification awarded by the Royal Society of Public Health, and my practice is shaped by a preventative, non-clinical approach to wellbeing. This means supporting people early, ethically, and with clear boundaries, before strain becomes burnout.

Alongside this, I have undertaken a range of leadership training, both formal and informal, which has given me a deep appreciation for the difference between management and leadership. I understand how effective leadership adapts to individual working styles, strengths, and contexts, rather than relying on one-size-fits-all approaches.

My role is not to push performance or “fix” people, but to offer perspective, structure, and support that helps individuals do their best work sustainably.

My career journey

My own career has been intentionally non-linear, spanning public and private life-science sectors, lab-based and non-lab-based roles, and a range of functions beyond traditional research pathways.

Working across different environments has given me a clear view of how expectations, pressures, and systems shift depending on context, and how easily capable people can become overloaded when those systems no longer fit.

I have also spent time working independently as a freelancer, which deepened my understanding of self-directed work, boundary-setting, and the realities of balancing professional goals with personal capacity.

This breadth allows me to support clients navigating transitions, complexity, or growth, whether they are staying within a sector, moving across roles, or redefining what success looks like for them.
